Hey everyone, So i have had my hardware turn silver (which LV has replaced the zipper pulls for me for free) but I was looking at preloved items and seen a lot of tarnished brass. Because the brass oxidizes, it needs to be polished to retain the gold. As for your hardware you can try a gentle acidic solution of 1 part lemon or orange juice to 3 parts water, apply with a q-tip, allow to sit for a minute or so, wipe off with a slightly damp cloth, and then dry with a soft towel. TY! try Brasso. LV won’t replace it for you as the bag is not in original condition anymore. You can try a silver polishing cloth or brasso to give it at least some of its shine back.
