When a modem gets stuck on 1 upstream, there's a few things that could have happened. . I have a CM1200 paired with Spectrum service running firmware version 1.02.01. The modem reports only one locked upstream bonded channel. I occasionally experience (seemingly random) disconnects, which is a problem during the work from home era. On my Netgear CM550V modem, my upstream light is constantly blinking and I am unable to lock on to more than one upstream channel based on the modem's info page. I've tightened my cables, powercycled my modem, and reset it several times to no avail. The upstream power is too high / out of spec and it may be intermittently fluctuating even higher / farther out of spec. That can cause random disconnects, spontaneous re-booting of the modem, speed, packet loss, latency problems, and the unbonding of channels. In an effort to try to obtain better connectivity / more wiggle room, check to see if there are any .
Only 1 upstream bonded channel : r/CoxCommunications
I have a flashing upstream light on my gateway, so I logged in and found that I only have partial upstream bonding in 1 channel. I have tried resetting, restarting, etc.
My upstream has 8 channels, only 1 is locked: US channel type: ATDMA. Channel ID: 49. Symbol rate: 5120 ksym/sec. Frequency: 36800000 Hz. Power: 57.0 dBmV . How do I make this amber light go away? Can anybody point me to where to look/fix this? Thanks! 🙂 When a modem gets stuck on 1 upstream, there's a few things that could have happened. Without getting long winded about the causes, I'll go into the fixes. A hard reboot most often fixes this. If that doesn't work, it could be the modem.
If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISP’s charge if the wiring issue is in the home. My Upstream bonded channels fluctuate between 1 locked and 4 locked. When it gets down to the 1 locked, my internet usually goes out. If I down grade back down to the 100/10 service.

I also noticed that only 1 Upstream Bonded Channels is locked - Channel 5. Channels 1,2,3,4 and 11 remain Unlocked. Power level for Channel 5 is 58.0 dBmW and all other channels range between 51.3-55.0.
I happen to be in my cable modem configuration page today and noticed that only one of my five upstream channels is locked. Is this normal? Everything seems to be working find, but I was surprised to see it. I have a CM1200 paired with Spectrum service running firmware version 1.02.01.
