If you can find a crown somewhere, and you have any skills at all, this is easily fixable. Crowns for Cosmics should still be available. Check the model number against what Frei & Borel has to offer. If the original crowns have been discontinued, a recommended Omega replacement will be available. Yes the Cosmics have a split stem system as the movement is accessed from the dial side.
I think you need to remove the stem from the crown and insert the nipple end of the stem in to the bottom of the case tube and then push the case tube into the crown.
The only sticker is that the crown is a non-Omega replacement. I found the correct Ofrei entry in an old forum post: Genuine Omega Crown ST45004 White/Steel Bestfit 8100/1069To find the correct crown and crystal you need to go by the case reference number (166.001 if I see correctly). I'll be nice and give you the reference numbers: Crystal: 063PX5011 You will need a genuine Omega repalcement, with tension ring. Specify yellow or white tension ring! You might try sending the case number inside the case back to a watch material supplier such as Wm.
