Epsom is a very light leather and keeps the shape. It will never get softer, it will always be rigid. It's very good for rain and it's diifficoult to ruin it. Personally I love it for small birkin. I have never seen a 35 in epsom, but if you want your birkin to keep the shape it's perfect.
